Our Mosaic

Batumi Piazza —mosaic in city Batumi, on piazza square. Diameter 106 m 2 . This mosaic is considered to be one of the largest figurative marble mosaic in Europe.

The author of mosaic is Georgian-Swiss designer Natali (Natalia) De Pita-Amirejibi. The mosaic was created in 2010 year.

Mosaic was made in Abu-Dabi, in the workshop of company Fantini Mosaic; and after that, it was transported to Batumi.

The project was directly led by Natali De Pita-Amirejibi. The preparatory works were provided by Georgian construction company “Monoliti”.

Mosaic was made of 88244735 cut and treated tiles of 1 sq.cm size, which were united in 1764895 segments. The material of the mosaic is marble, which were collected in fifteen countries.

The concept of the mosaic is eternal movement of the maritime disaster and continuous development of modern urban space.
